My name is Zackary Harris, and I am a rising junior at Morehouse College majoring in Biology with a concentration on the pre-dental track and a minor in Public Health. I am originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
This summer, I am honored to be interning at NYU’s College of Dentistry as part of the Research Education in Oral Health Sciences (REOHS) program. During the program, I will be conducting research under the guidance of a distinguished faculty member at the dental school, gaining firsthand experience in oral health science and research methodology. My experience will culminate in a formal research presentation to a professional board, and I will receive a $5,000 stipend in recognition of my work and participation.
In addition to my work at NYU, I will also be participating in Harvard’s Summer Bridge to Dental Program and the University of Minnesota’s Discover Dental Program. These opportunities will further expand my knowledge of the dental field, expose me to a variety of academic and clinical experiences, and strengthen my commitment to becoming a future leader in dentistry.
