The EA Madden Scholarship Application is Now Open | Apply Today!

Honoring the legacy of John Madden, we award 24 annual, renewable scholarships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Scholars will also receive career readiness counseling, mentoring, access to UNCF conferences, recruiting events, an all-expense paid trip to EA Orlando, the home of EA SPORTS’ Madden NFL game, and consideration for internships and new graduate roles at Electronic Arts.

Madden Scholars 2024-2025 Cohort Details

  • Award to 24 HBCU Students across 8 HBCUs
  • Southern University and A&M College, Spelman College, Morehouse College, Clark Atlanta University, Howard University, North Carolina A&T University, Prairie View A&M University, and Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University
  • 3 recipients will be chosen at each school, totaling 24 winners across 8 HBCUs 
  • Each scholarship recipient will be awarded up to $12,000 for the current academic school year
  • An in-person all-expense paid trip to EA Orlando, home of EA SPORTS

Qualifications

  • Classifications: Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors
  • 2.5 minimum GPA & Resume 
  • 500-word essay on how the EA Madden Scholarship will help you in your collegiate career 
  • Majors:
  • Business, Interactive Media, Economics, Computer Science, Marketing, Cybersecurity, Finance, Accounting, Graphic Design, Communications, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, Art, Digital Art, Psychology, Humanities Majors, Cyber Security, Economics, Music/Audio, Sound/Visual, UX, Animation Game Design, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, and other related programs.
