TV Advertising Sales, Account Executive at the Outdoor Channel

>> Katie DeMaio. I work at Outdoor Channel. I am a sales account executive, and I graduated in December 2007. So advertising sales is basically -- so my network, we have commercial spaces, and I sell the commercial spaces to different advertisers. I also come up with different marketing elements, creative ideas for them to get on the network. And I take their products, and I can integrate them into our shows. You'll see that more and more happening. There's a lot that goes into it on the back end. And it's fun and it's creative and it's a lot of hard work but it's worth it. A typical day, it completely ranges. You know, I could have a fire drill and I could just be working on one account all day long making sure everything in tip-top shape and running smoothly. Or I can be working with my marketing team and coming up with new ideas to try to pitch new advertisers and go after business we don't have. I like to do that a lot, actually, because I like a challenge. And definitely keeping my clients happy but also trying to grow my list all the time and think of creative ideas for them to do on the Outdoor Channel.
