>> My name is Lauren Tuxberry [assumed spelling] and I'm a territory sales manager for Altria. I represent four big brands-Philip Morris, US Smokeless Tobacco, John Middleton Tobacco, and St. Michelle Wines. So my position is I have about a hundred and thirty or so accounts on Cape Cod which is my territory and I consult with those accounts and help those accounts build their business based on my companies. So you hear sales and you think oh you're making cold calls, or selling product, but I'm a whole different type of sale so I do sell in new brands but the majority of my day is really looking at overall business so it could be a mom and pop store, or anything from a CVS, a Walmart, a Costco and I look at their business and say where how can I help you improve you overall business based on the tobacco products I offer? So you look at anything from marketing strategies, to financial analysis, to sales and new products and distribution. You never really know what you're going to face when you enter one of my stores. A day would typically be I have half of Cape Cod as my territory, so I wake up in the morning and I go to eight to ten accounts, and these are accounts I call on every month, every other month, I know the retailers very well, they know me. And it's going into that business and we set up a month objective. So at the beginning of the month we have a meeting and I'm on a team of about six people in South Eastern Mass and we say here are the priorities and objectives for our field sales force for this month and then it's up to me to make my own schedule and determine what I'm going to do in these accounts to better their businesses, which in turn makes us more money.
