>> So my name is Mike Mathias. So currently I work at a long-short hedge fund in New York City. And I've been doing it, I guess now, about six months. To back up from there, a hedge fund is essentially a, more or less, I guess, you have equity and credit. Equity hedge funds are basically buying or selling stocks to try to make money for investors. On the credit side you're buying and selling bonds to make money for your investors. And there are a bunch of different- different types within those genres. And what we do specifically is basically look at event driven situations. And so anywhere from M and A, spin-offs, rights offerings, IPOs - we try to basically get an edge in looking at those types of situations and, basically, having, you know, a little bit more of an expertise than- than other people out in the market. So typically, I guess, day to day say take on random day for example. I'll walk in, I'll check the news see what happened overnight in case I missed anything. And then see how- how it would potentially affect my companies and think about that. And then kind of go back and forth with my boss and see if anything came up and, you know, make sure he's posted on everything going on as well. And then say, for example, today I'll look at a- a company that I've been tasked to look at. I'll look at, maybe build a model, do a little bit more research on the company, and then look at the evaluation and then go back and iterate with my boss. And say, hey, here's what I think about it. Here's what I think the markets, again, in consideration is that they- they might not be. And then he'll either say okay, dig deeper into this particular issue, or maybe we'll- we'll table that for now, go back to something different. And then kind of go through that iterative process.
