Tatorie is a Community Enhancement Coordinator with Visit Oxford, the marketing arm of the city of Oxford, Mississippi. Her main role is to act as liaison between the city of Oxford and all of the major institutions within the city, including the Chamber of Commerce, Ole Miss, and various social groups.

>> My name is Torrey Mary [assumed spelling] and I am the community enhancement coordinator for Visit Oxford. Visit Oxford is essentially the marketing arm for the City of Oxford. We fall under the city umbrella, but we also have our separate board, so we're a little different from most city departments. Every day is totally different. No day is the same. Mainly consist of meetings, telephone calls, emails, I'm out and about in the community a lot meeting with different partners that we partner with, different social groups. Just, I'm more of a liaison between the Chamber of Commerce, the University of Mississippi, Ole Miss Athletics, the city of Oxford. And our office, we do a lot of partnering with different events in the, in the city. I do mainly, I've started with this sports marketing side of our office, where I work with our local parks and commissions here. FNC to set up room blocks for these baseball tournaments that they have, soccer tournaments there that they have. So a lot of my day consist of on the phone with hotel managers, on the phone with parents, trying to find room blocks for teams. I also am over the community calendar. So if there's some big event that's going on, I'm the person that you would contact, and I would put those events into a calendar. One place so everybody knows what's going on here, and we're not, trying to get to a point where we're not overbooking on busy weekends, and we're spreading everything out throughout the year.
