Alexander Jones is a senior at Morehouse College majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and a minor in Economics. After experiencing foster care and periods of homelessness, he dropped out of high school while living on the streets. Determined to change the direction of his life and avoid remaining homeless, he earned his GED through Job Corps and enlisted in the United States Army as an infantryman. After being injured during his military service, Alexander began his academic journey at a community college, refusing to allow a learning disability or past challenges to define his future. Through discipline, persistence, and faith, he worked his way forward and transferred to Morehouse College, where he continued to excel academically and professionally. Alexander is the founder of Ryan, Steele & Company, LLC, and aspires to become an industrialist focused on real estate development, infrastructure, and long-term business ownership as tools to expand economic opportunity and rebuild strong communities. In Fall 2026, he will attend Columbia University’s Master of Science in Urban Planning program, a lifelong dream, and plans to pursue a Juris Doctor (JD) in the future to further strengthen his ability to lead complex economic, legal, and development initiatives. His long-term vision is to help rebuild and strengthen underserved communities through responsible investment and development in the United States and internationally, including economies such as Haiti. Alexander’s goal is to become the first African American Governor of Florida and one day serve the American people as President of the United States. He is committed to using education, economic development, and industrial leadership to expand opportunity, strengthen communities, and contribute to long-term national and global economic growth.
