The 2025-2026 Target Scholars Program will provide scholarships of up to $5,000 to juniors attending your HBCU while studying business or engineering disciplines. Scholars will receive academic support, mentoring, internship and networking opportunities, and much more. Awards will be issued in the fall 2025 semester. Awards and program benefits may be renewed in their senior year. We also invite anyone interested to join our virtual information session for the program. It will be held Thursday, July 10 at 6:00 pm EST. The information and details can be found below.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a US Citizen or a US National/Permanent Resident.
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
- Be enrolled full-time as a junior for the 2025-2026 academic year at one of the following HBCUs: Clark Atlanta University, Howard University, Morehouse College, North Carolina A&T State University, Southern University and A&M College, or Texas Southern University.
- Have a declared academic major in a business or engineering discipline.
- Have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have a demonstrated unmet financial aid need, as reported to UNCF by the applicant’s institution of record.
Application Requirements:
- A current official or unofficial academic transcript.
- One (1) or more recent (within the past 2 years) examples of each of the following: leadership, honors and awards, and community service/extracurricular activities.
- A 300-word essay response to the following prompt: How have you contributed to your community, and what impact did that experience have on your career choice?
