2025 JPMorganChase Data for Good- HBCU Student Edition
This spring, JPMorganChase is hosting a hackathon welcoming university students to gain practical skills and insights into potential careers in data science; as well as insights into how JPMorganChase leverages analytics and data science to drive innovation.
What You’ll Do:
- Engage in Workshops: Participate in interactive workshops led by industry experts, focusing on data analytics, coding languages, and more.
- Collaborate in Teams: Work on teams of 5-6 students to tackle real-world challenges faced by a nonprofit organization.
- Develop Solutions: Conduct an Exploratory Data Analysis and provide data-driven recommendations to address key issues, applying your newly acquired skills.
- Network with Leaders: Connect with industry leaders, educators, and nonprofit professionals to expand your professional network and explore career opportunities.
Data for Good Hackathon Details:
- Location: JPMorganChase Plano, TX Office
- Event Date: Friday, April 4 – Saturday, April 5 (two-day event)
- Applications Close: Sunday, March 16
- Eligibility:
- Enrolled and in good standing in an undergraduate program at a US institution with a graduation year between December 2026 – May 2028
- Taking courses in a STEM field, such as, computer science, engineering, statistics, math, machine learning, data science, or other quantitative fields
- Knowledge in at least one coding language required
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Participants will need to bring their own laptops to the event. Please Note: JPMorganChase will cover all travel expenses to and from the event for selected students.
