EICOP is a non-profit educational arts workforce development organization, dedicated to educating, training, and recruiting the best and brightest diverse student leaders from our nation’s Historically Black Colleges, Universities (HBCUs) and other Minority Serving Institutions for careers across all aspects of the entertainment, media, sports, music, and technology industries. EICOP’s signature internship program, HBCU LA│NY is the first of its kind Los Angeles and New York based pipeline development initiatives utilizing our nation’s HBCUs as centers for diversity, equity and inclusion.
HBCU LA│NY is a highly competitive summer internship program open to students of all majors with a genuine interest and passion to pursue a career in the media and entertainment industry. It is comprised of paid internships, free housing, mentoring, skills training, and professional development to equip the next generation diverse talent for work in today’s global creative workforce.
This is also an outstanding opportunity for graduating seniors since we have a 90% intern-to-hire conversion rate for those eligible to start working. We have over 15 partners we are working with next summer including The Walt Disney Company, AEG, Mattel, Sony Pictures, FOX Network, The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), NBC Universal, Activision, to name just a few!
Our application is open to any and all majors. There are many career pathways in the entertainment industry that we want to expose your students to. Ranging from finance, computer science, animation, political science, communications, and more.
